Advance Humanitarian Diplomacy

Humanitarian Diplomacy connects communities, humanitarian actors, and policymakers to promote protection, access, and dignity in crisis and recovery settings through dialogue aligned with humanitarian principles of neutrality, impartiality, and humanity.

Aligned with SDG 16, it strengthens inclusive decision-making, policy coherence, and trust. By engaging returnees, host communities, civil society, UN agencies, and governments, it advances SDG 10 by improving equitable access to assistance and amplifying marginalized voices. Through strong partnerships, it also supports SDG 17 by promoting coordinated humanitarian action and shared responsibility.

Strengthen Local Governance Systems

DCRE strengthens local governance by building the capacity of councils, committees, and civil society to lead transparent, participatory, and gender-responsive decision-making. Through dialogue, social accountability, and the inclusion of women, youth, and marginalized groups, the program promotes trust, shared ownership, and sustainable community development.
